Mrs. Anna Mae Stewart and Ermalie Allen made a business trip to Owensboro Saturday. Mr. Cecil is still in the hospital recovering from a heart attack two weeks ago. He is improving. The young people of the Oak Grove Church of God is having a contest of bringing young people to church. They will crown a king and queen Saturday night. Everyone is welcome. Horse Branch News Church Revival Had Good Turnout The Beaver Dam Baptist Church held a revival at the Union Church in Horse Branch this past week with Rev. Armstrong delivering lhe sermon. Several from Reaver Dam and Horse Branch attended the ser- vices. The ttorse Branch P.T.A. met Monday night with several in attendance. Several men from the area spent last week in Illinois hunting. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Ford's Monday evening guests were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Paris and Shannon. We were sorry to hear the of lhe fire Thursday that destroyed the Ethel Murphy home. There was a good turnout Tuesday at the election- polls. Mr. Johnny Morris is on Ihe sick list at this writing. There was a nice turn out Friday night for the fall festiyal. The prince and princess were Holly Smitb and Jimmy Gaff. The king and queen were Lynn Renfrow and Dennie Autry.
