I(Wql['UC~Y, AJPEG, 28. 1977, SECTION 2, PAGE 6 t The Ohio County Democratic Woman's Club was re.ectivated Monday night during a organizational meeting at the Ohio County Courthouse. Meeting with the local women were Mrs. George Woodard, left, back row, second dis- trict director, and Mary Glenn Searcy, second from left, back row, president of the Grayson County Democratic Woman's Club. Mrs. Dorothy Gentry, right, back row, was elected local president. Other officers include Mrs. Lot- tie Gross, standing next to Mrs. Gentry, vice.president, and Bonnie Tichenor, seated left, secretary, and Mary Ad- kin , treasurer. The next meeting will be held May 9 when an award will be presented to the precinct having the lar- gest number of woman precinct workers present. @ e On Friday, May 13, a one-day heart clinic for medically, indigent adult patients will be held in the Daviess County Health Department, Owen- sboro. The clinic will be cohducted by physicians from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. School, and the County Health Departments, the clinic provides a diagnostic service for each patient, along with recommendations for treatment and management of the case. Opportunity will also be provided for the physician referring the patient to consult with the Sponsored the Owensboro- clinician regarding his patient, andno. Davtess Cou l es t, patient,.Will ,be 'admitted wtthout a the Kentucky Hmrt Association, the written referral from a physician. Bureau for Health Services, the Necessary expenses of the clinic University of Louisville Medical are being underwritten by the Ken- tucky Heart Association and the Bureau for Health Services. Clinic personnel as well as space and equipment will be provided by the Daviess County Health Department, the Bureau for Health Services, and the Owensborc Daviess County Heart Association and the Kentucky Heart ' Association. The'.cllnic will serve patients from Breckinridge, Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio and Union Counties. Hartford Homemakers met Wed- nesday April 20, at the home of Mrs. I. L. Baughn, Route 1, Hartford with Mrs. L. G. Barrett as co-hostess. Mrs. Lena Schapmire called the meeting to order. The devotional was given by Mrs. Amanda Sheffield. Minutes of previous meeting was read by Mrs. Lucille Schapmire who also gave the financial report. The roll was called with answers of "What Flowers I Would Like to Plant This Spring." The lesson was given by Miss Mary Rone on "Decor With Crafts, Pictures and Wall Accessories." Mrs. Margaret Walden gave an interesting account of the seminar on family life, given in Owensboro by Dr. Sam Quick. Four members from the club, Mrs. L. G. Barrett, Mrs. Layton Walden, Mrs. Austin Miller and Mrs. Josephine Ralph, attended the seminar. Refreshments of pie and coffee were served to the 13 members by Mrs. Baughn and Mrs. Barrett. Carl Roy Daniel has returned home from the Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital. Mr. Daniel suffered a crushed shnulder when a pole fell on him. He is improving. Mrs. Mary Ambrose, Golda Bartlett and Mrs. Rosie Sharp visited Mrs. Katie Sharp and had dinner with her Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Corbet Melton have sold out and are moving to Beaver Dam soon. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Freeman visited Rosie Sharp Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Sharp and children and Mr. James Sharp visited Rosie Sharp Sunday aRernoon and also Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ditto. .u-.
