Schools participating included Beaver Dam, Centertown, Central Park, Fordsville, Middle School, and Wayland Alexander. The event was sponsored by the 20th Century Woman's Club. Ellen Tichenor is chairman and Donna Sullo, vice chairman. The winners were, girls 25-yard dash, 6-7 year olds: Sheryl Burden, first, Jamie Halcomb, second. Boys 25-yard dash, 6-7: Wayne Vick, first, Greg Nance, second, Chuck Hodges, third and Gary Baize, fourth. Girls 50-yard dash, 7-9: Renee Halcomb, first, Brenda Burnett, second, Christina Williams, third, and Patty Phelps, Faye Scaton and Jill Ward, tied for fourth. Boys 50-yard dash, 7-9: Danny Leisure, first, Chris Crowe, second, Ricky Allen,' third, Billy Duncan, fourth, and Wayne Vick, fifth. Girls 50-yard dash, 10-up: Lisa Render, first, Melody Watson, second Tabitha Williams, third, Patty Phelps, fourth, and Susie Pasco, fifth. Boys 50-yard dash, 10-12: Billy Smith, first, Gerald Moore, second and Van Reynolds, third. Boys 50-yard dash, 13-up: Tom Bratcher, first, Patrick Nelson, second, and Earl Minton, third. Girls 100-yard dash, 8-10: Angels Gibson, first, Patty Hodges, second, and Gayle Hogue, third.
