Under Kentucky law, any person participating in mak- ing a report of suspected child abuse or neglect is immune from civil or criminal liability that might otherwise be incurred or imposed as a result of such ac- tion if the repoi zing is done so in good faith. Therefore, in order to be im- mune from any civil or criminal action, the reporter of child abuse or neglect must be acting in good faith when reporting to the authorities. Any person making a report maliciously and without reason and does not be- lieve that abuse or neglect is oc- curring or has occurred is not im- mune from civil or criminal ac- tion.
